I think my moms cars running too cold. The temperature gauge never used to work, so the other day I drained the coolant, replaced the thermostat, and the temperature sensor. The temperature gauge now works, but the car never quiet reaches the 'N' on the 'NORMAL'. Is this about normal for these cars with the clutch fans or is it running cold? The enging fan seems to always be running from like 2 seconds after starting engine.

My ED always used to run at about halfway up normal, then it got worse, it started running hotter, spitting coolant, that sort of thing.
I took it to Natrad and got the radiator replaced (apparently my original was blocked and rooted beyond repair), and now it doesn't even get into the normal temp bit. It sits about halfway-3 quarters of the way between fully cold and normal. Crazy |
