Can i chuck an eb gt manual gear boot (the leather type) on an auto? like just feed it thru the little shifter gap.. Has anyone done it?

i dont think you would be able to mate, without covering up the selector letters and numbers.. p,r,d,1,2,3 the boot is actually pretty big. no harm in trying though

if you dont mind losing your numbers its possible, but it makes it hard for those who dont know the car....

i could probably also modify it so the leather isnt too baggy over one side (the gear selection side..)

I had one of the rubber ones (like the SPak shifter boots) on my XF with the auto. Used to go by feel to know which gear you were in. Was ok once you got used to it and looked pretty cool too 8-)
