was a cracker of a race apart from webber being first to retire on about 2nd lap. one of the best i have seen for a long time. just when it looked like alonso had done the unthinkable and raced to the lead and pulled away, he retires with driveshaft failure. raikkonen fell over and all of a sudden schuey went from dawdling to setting fastest laps. 10 laps to go it looked like he was going to cut the gap to alonso down to 3 points with a 2nd place finish but the track really dried out and he broke his car trying to defend on tyres that were absolutely shagged.

well done to jenson. its been a long time coming. had his doubters, including myself.

turns out schuey gets a point after all as kubica dsq.

Woudlnt let pedro de la rosa past while evertyone was eating seconds off his time and then cuts the chicane to stay in front!

Dirty dog - glad he went out!

he was fighting for position and so did not have to let him pass. he stayed on the racing line. pedro was on dry's and so couldn't really pass without risk. when he first nosed it up the inside at the chicane schuey had nowhere else to go. had he cheated he would've been given drive through but not the case.

not many other drivers would've been able to drive on tyres that looked like his did.

oh yeah did i mention i'm a big schuey fan

Kubica was disqualified??? What for?
I thought it was the best race this year as well. It was a shame about Alonso drive shaft going and he still may not have won the race. Jenson drove a great race and would certainly have challenged him for the lead.
Shuey has had his moments as a good racer but it has been noted among the other other drivers that he is too aggressive in defending his position. Especially when he knows he doesn't have the pace to win.

Bring on more races with rain!!!

schuey was not driving defensive. he couldn't!! he was driving on the racing line as offline it was still wet and would've been dangerous. the onus is on the overtaking driver to perform a safe pass. if it was a dry track pedro would've got round straight away into turn 1 as he could've braked late down the inside.

mark webber is a good driver. was lowndes a bad driver all those years at fpr when every 2nd race he was dnf. jaguar were never really in the top group so he performed pretty much tothe limit of where the car was at. williams had issues before he got there. just ask r. schumacher or jpm. at least 8 times this season it has been the car's fault. driver error only a couple of times.
kimi should've won the c/ship last year but reliability let him down. look how many years he's been in a top team and yet to be world champion. i don't hear people saying he's a dud. took jenson 113 races to finally get a win.

i rreckon it will be better next year when it goes back to 1 tyre manufacturer. racing is about the driver and the team. who builds the best cars and who drives them the best/smartest. too often the result is majorly influenced by the tyre. i wouldn't mind seeing a control tyre in f1.

thats enough from me though. f1 not for everyone but i love it.
