Hello everyone.
A question regarding the speed sensor signal. Is it simply a variable speed pulse to ground, or ditto to 12v, or ditto to 5v or is it a pulse width signal?
I am thinking I can use this to drive an after market cruise control rather than fitting the magnet to the tailshaft.

The signal is a square wave, from 0 to 8.2V. It's frequency changes with speed.

You could build a small adapter to make it work with a circuit designed for an inductive pickup.
