i've read the diagnostics page on airbags, and i've just had to replace the fuse for the airbag on my EF. the code changed from 12 to 52, this is all going according to the page. then i tried to clear the codes, i'm using an old RCA cord i've peeled the ends off to connect the fourth pin from the left onto the ground, i even stuck the other end in the ground!! is there anything i'm doing wrong? bigger cord? different pin? is there a ground pin on the connections themselfs?
i appriciate if anyone could help. thank you karl |

Ground means an earth in the car - nothing to do with the ground outside...
Looking from the left hand end of the diagnosis connector, the first pin on the bottom row is ground/earth.

i had this around a year ago, while i was driving, i noticed hte airbag light was flickering, then it went permently on.. when i turned off the car, and started it up again, it would disapear, but 2 min later, it came back up.. my mechanic put it on hte computer and reset hte ECU.. it actually fixed it up.. haven't seen it come on.. (with exception of the test when you first start the car)
