Are they just halogen projectors with HIDs in them? What year are we talking about? IF, the vehicle is equipped with HID Xenon headlights as OEM and the headlights are correctly installed there should not be any glare "blinding" you or anyone else. However, life is not always perfect and there is a BIIIIIG I and F in this statement. I have seen too many owners of vehicles equipped with HID Xenon Projectors who don't understand that their vehicles are equipped with HID Xenon system and think their headlights are not properly adjusted. They either raise the beam themselves or during a service ask the workshop to fix the lights. The problem here is that they don't understand that there should not be any light above the cutoff line. I have even had a case where I asked a owner of a new Lexus how he found the HID lights and he didn’t even know what HID was. The only thing he had noticed was the light was a bit white – bluish and he wasn't happy with that..... Duhhhhh. So maybe that could have been one of the reasons for blinding you. Then again if you insert a HID Xenon bulb in a Halogen reflector, well the result is no different from inserting a HID kit in a standard Halogen reflector. OK , maybe, just maybe a bit better. But not much.

OK, there is a bit of light being bounced of the chromed bezel but that is not more than you have from any other headlight that uses a chromed bezel. They should ban these chromed bezels, nothing but a big mirror reflecting stray light. Specially from the side view. But it look different, more classy and can be called: top of the range so they can charge more for the vehicle...... I usually sand the chrome down and paint the bezels black. The best colour to block stray light. Do you know if the vehicle in question has been in a frontal accident or maybe just bumped into something???
