No it wont fit

Setting backlash is done by machining/adding shims

are you sure they won fit? (ie personal experience?) I spent all afternoon removing the 3.23 dif gears from the EF diff. Will 3.23 gears from an EA fit?

Havent tried it - but pretty sure

2.77 and 2.92 diffs are 25 spline borg warned 75 series diffs. Others a 28 spline borg warner 78 diffs.

I have heard numerous times that the 2.77 diff is useless for anything other than 2.77 gears because of the size of the pinion/crown wheel.

To quote others:

if you have a EA with a 2.77:1 you cant change stuff all into that diff.

Cheers for that, but if the 2.92 is also a 25 spline can that be made to fit? I have 2.77, 2.92, 3.08 and 3.23 gears all available but it looks like i'm stuck with having a bastard 2.77

offset was different in the 2.77. so only 2.77 and 2.54 gears will fit. if you get a 2.92 axle any of the other gears you mentioned (excluding the 2.77s) will fit
