Anyone know someone or some place that will certify an LPG installation? Anywhere in the Toowoomba, Brisbane, Gold Coast area is cool.

Basically I will have the Tank, Convertor, Mixer, ECU and water lines all installed and I want new lines and filler installed by fitter plus certification.

So anyone want to recommend someone for me? Cost? Please?
cheers
Scott

any lpg gas installer should be able to do this
but the problem lies that they have not installed the tank converter etc..
is the tank still within date

they might not, if something went wrong they wouldn't want to be liable ... I'd ring and ask before doing all the work and then finding out no-one will check it for you...

Yeah, I know I just wanted to try and save some cash. I figured if I do all the tedious work such as mounting the tank, ect and left the lines and sensitive stuff to the experts I might save a few hundred. Tank is in date and all the gear is good to go. I'm just a tight a**.

ef_Gas, maybe you could try saving time too, and not post 3 times in a row..

You won't get it complianced unless the LPG place installs everything too. They've gotta protect their industry. Unless you have a mate in the LPG installing industry, you won't find anyone willing to compliance and sign off on work that isn't their own.

thats not true - i installed everything expect sevice lines which must be new and installed by licenced gas fitter

new service lines/tune/complience test and plate $200

you may have to shop around and enquire but im sure there would be places in qld that would do it then talk to them and they will tell you what is required

the wiring can be a bit tricky but if its all done to proper specs eg safety cutoffs and limiters fitted there should be no problem signing it off well i got mine done so i know it is possible
