hey
ok so i managed to get sum cash 2gether and decided on gettin a chip for my ute was quoted $1690 fitted?Wud this give me the same or more horses that a throttle body manifold wud?

IMO I would spend on the intake MAF, Inj, Throttle body & exhaust. Im Sure if you shopped around you would get most things for that sort of cash your willing t spend.

First thing I ever did to my ute was a chiptorque chip, yeh it was a lil better but nothin to brag about.

yea i went and spoke to the dude again 2day and wot i am gettin done next month is the chip,cold air intake and maybe a 3 inch exhaust! So i'll have 2 get a dyno printout he said that he wud like to get it atleast around the 250 mark???

Max, I am first to agree that these utes are slugs.

I dont see any big benefit unless you enlarge the intake side. I am guessin that the maf and t/b are stock (disregard if they arnt). You wont get too much out of her if shes chokin.

I have done all the above, and a lil more and I dont think I have hit 250 yet.

Bud, theres plenty to spend cash on but the improvements of chips etc IMO are best when other mods have been done first

what kind of chip?

wel all that has bin dun 2 the ute is pacemaker extractors and 2 n half inch 2 into one system eveything else is stock!!Yea u are rite in wot you are sayin i had a slight doubt that she wud reach 250!!!Cant remember wot chip off top of my head wil have 2 get back to you on that one!!!!

While your at it do ya home work on the above you will be surprised with what some of the fellas on here are pullin out there 5.0 with the right mods, you have got a good exhaust system to start with dont go throwin more cash at it just yet.

So what you are saying is get the hardwear first then hit the chips after all that is done??
