Hello,
I currently have a 5L EL GLi with a 3.23 LSD in it. It whines at about 80-90km/h. I have access to a complete disc to disc 3.45 LSD out of an EL Ghia. would just the centre need to be replaced or if its whining would it be worth changing the whole lot? Both have ABS.

Has anyone done a similar conversion? any advice much appreciated!

it will be the center thats whining, so just change that, or change the lot no difference really....

How hard is this to do, I haven't taken diffs apart before - I'd imagine it would be much easier changing the centre than the complete diff assembly (which I've done before, but its quite time consuming)
cheers

Thanks guys
Looks like I'll just swap the whole thing... shouldn't be too much of a job.
Just will have to get the speedo gears right.
cheers
