Hey I was wondering what everyones opinions on different sized wheels are, ie. 17s front 18s rear?

there are plenty of cars will 2 different size wheels floating about, EG the street machine VU had 18's frnt and 22's or somethuing like that rear,

Considered unroadworthy by the police, so far as I know. Though sometimes it looks better.

I don;t think it is unroadworthy, you should be able to have different size wheels front to back, but i don;t think you can have different from side to side. I reckon different size wheels can look good if done right, i have seen a fair few cars done this way and it looks pretty damn good.

Only thing i can see wrong with the setup your suggesting is that 17" looks a little small compared to an 18" whereas the difference between an 18" and 19" isn;t so great and would look less outta place. IF you do it then go for 18"-19" combo...

do not go different sizes across front or rear - it can be diasterous! i've seen first hand the result from having a 19" mag and a stogie on the rear - the different sizes cause the diff to lockup at 100km/h. the bloke then took out 3 street signs and hit 2 trees :shock:
