What's the easiest way to adjust the steering wheel.Do it inside the car by removing and refitting the steering or undo the bolt at the first steering knuckle under the brake booster.Its a EF , thanks

The correct way is to adjust the tie rods until the steering wheel is centred whilst driving. This keeps the rack in the centre. A wheel alignment will fix this but you can do it yourself by tightening or loosening the tie rods with the same amount of turns on both sides, remember one side is to be tightened and the other loosend depending on which way the wheel has to be adjusted.

You can't just move the steering wheel. I will only move in 90º moves as the hub is square. In some older cars, where it was mounted on a spline this was the "easiest" way.
