Hey gregor77 Iv'e also got the Alted stage one, until I fitted a rollmaster vernier cam gear I wasn't overly impressed with the cam either, actually ran slower quater mile times with it. After fitting the vernier cam gear and playing around by advancing the cam gradually, the cam came alive. For what is a relatively small cam I am happy with the power increase.

Gday Jaysen, havent changed the timing on the cam since the last time we spoke, seems to be happy where it is. With the 2400 stallie and shift kit it chirp's into second nicely, pull's hard from 2500rpm and when it hits 3800/4000rpm the power jump is very noticable. Whoopass wednesday starts up soon 8/8/06 will let you know how it goe's.

Jaysen RPD has them for $145, well worth the money, as Jaysen explained to me each engine is different and there is no guarantee that what works for one will work for another. With the vernier cam gear you can find the sweet spot with the cam and your engine and its specific mod's.

People's responses ... and also being passenger and driving some as well ... will be something I will be getting done hopefully before Xmas (wedding comes first though).
