Maybe you could fit the circuit from the EF/EL in the BA/BF fob and mod it so that buttons engage the circuit. Has to be possible I think.

I'd think someone a little more electronicly minded that me should explain it better, but could you like...split the signal? so one button only unlocks and one button only locks?

ef uses smartlock
Ba uses smartshield
Bf has changed again also

not as easy to do as you think - ba bem talks to ecu and key barrel, key also has an immobiliser circuit in it.
Could be done but i think you would be wasting alot of time for something so small

 WTF, why? whats the point? is this classed as a mod?, does it really matter what the fob is? are you going to wear it around your neck so you can show it off, this would have to be the lamest (being nice here) potential waste of time i have ever seen on here, or anywhere. I cant believe anyone would even think of it, unless you had one, and couldnt buy a EF fob. This is not even rice, its .................a waste.

Didn't you read what he wrote???? He said that he wanted to be able to have a button to unlock and one to lock. It's a feature that Commodores have and personally i would prefer to have 2 buttons as well so leave him alone. If you didn't like his idea then why didn't you keep it to yourself?

2 stage unlock would be neat. :-) except that all the buttons are linked.
