hey all
Just wondering what i should get next? Oh and I'm trying to do the whole system on a bit over 1k. ive already got JVC head unit plays DVDs $300, alpine type R splits $200 there were secondhand. I was thinking about jaycar 4 chanel amp to run them if their any good. Got an AU and am installing it myself so easier installed options are prefered.

so your looking at spending around another 500-600 dollars. Looking at a 4ch amp so i take it you want to run a sub aswell? Give an idea on what you want. Need rear fill aswell?

Don't know. What sort of power rating is it? Whats the price of it? What size sub do you want? Rear speakers you'd want to hook up to the HU, they are easy enough.
Need more of an idea mate......

$500-$600 matew that a tight budget to get rear fill, sub/s and a 4 channel amp, plus cables, probably other accessories like terminals, bigger fuses etc it adds up, sub box or enclosure...pre-made or materials..list goes on

Oh amp is $200 and is 4x50w rms sub i was leaning to alpine type R 12" inch sub, 500w rms only because it same brand as the splits, there $280 off ebay run that off the 4 chanel as well as the splits and rears of HU and later save up for a mono block

ok well yeh i spose t can be done ? the box for a sub aint gonna be cheap...but would definently recommend these suns...go hard and sound fantastic....

so u have $480 there and a $600 budget....mate id leave the standard rear fill and use the rest to finish off the project....get rear fill later when u get the mono block.....the type Rs are niuce up front and will suffice

mm that seems like a pretty good starting point, problem is starting points are just that, a starting point, and if you are really keen on ur system then dont buy a jaycar amp, they are good but there is much better amps out there for around $100 more..... just something to think about

yeh quite a few ppl have found going cheap wth the jaycar gear aint worth it...they start to really get utilised and then comes undone and faults...pay the little bit more and get a name brand unit thats been involved in providing high quality audio product line ups for donkeys
