Hi guys,i own a ED XR6 manual. In th near future i want to fit a EF/EL intake manifold. What i was wondering was,its very hard to get a EL XR6 manual ecu and I wanted to know if you could get a EL GLI or XR auto computer and trick it,so it will be able to run in my XR????

I said that i will be looking for a EL GLi or XR computer not EF,cause EF have coil pack,i have a distributor. But you can use either manifold.

I think you were seeing things mate, they've all got coil packs. Unless they got converted to a dizzy for some srange reason...

You could be right about the EF's and dizzy's, I do recall hearing that either the earlier or later EF's had dizzy's. I think later EF's as they were prepping for the EL...you'll pry find some EF's with EL engine mounts also...most EF's were oil-filled but due to budget constraints for the AU they began cutting back on certain things like that. Well so the story goes anyhow...
