hub adaptors are definately illegal (in vic anyways), unlike spacers though they are safe (if installed properly). im in vic too, i know there is a guy here with them on a ute, he made it through a roadworthy... but im not sure if it was a dodgy RWC or they did full inspection as they are meant to mash85 have you told/asked your insurance company about them?

I was using adapters on my ED and that day a wheel fell off, I will never use them or feel safe with them on the car again, so I just found some wheels with the correct offset.
With 17's and adapters With the 18's and correct offset Just my 2 cents |

Different people say different things
I have had no problems at all with the spacers that I am using. They have been on the car for 2 years. I have even gone over 200 kph with the spacers on. but I also fitted longer wheel studs to accommodate for the spacers

i really cant see how a wheel can fall off because of the use of hub adapters, if you use the correct nuts (matching the countersunken angles) and do them up tight enough which for falcons is 110ft-lb, and by the way isnt all that tight when your doing them up by hand then it shouldnt fall off and before it fell off didnt you notice a slight knocking sound??
