It is a Vialle Converter type D, which it came out of the factory with. Are you saying you stuck a different converter on and it worked fine with the Tickford setup? Or did you have to change more stuff?

Only difference with Tickford setups are they run through the factory computer... Complex convertors are pretty much the same, aslong as you choose the right one to suit your application.
You could piss it off and run a BRC, OMVL or whichever you like.
The OMVL R90E are a great convertor.
I've got a reco Poli sitting here that belongs to UnsteadyED, i got it off him to use on my Lane but after the problems the Poli gave me on the EF i decided against it, i'm fitting an OMVL instead.
As i said though, i'd be taking it back to them.

I would probably go the way you're suggesting, but the converter is installed and running now, and it works, so it will be a bit of a struggle to take it back to them and say it's not good enough. It just doesn't like starting. If it breaks again one day, then I will more than likely go for a different one, seeing they are better.

Go back and tell them it's not starting, tell them it was fine before!
The only LPG systems i found hard to start were Impco.

Very strange that - My EB had impco gear - it use to stary easier than petrol. Never cut out after first go like the EF does. The gear is basically the same, so I think it all comes down to setup. Perhaps vapor line length, TB hose length etc has something to do with it.

Maybe I will have to bring it back. Today it was starting ok for a while after I took it for a drive, but then this arvo onwards it had trouble starting again.

I'll see how it goes for maybe a week or so and if it doesn't fix itself then it will have to go back.

It seems to run ok other than this though. Pity a little glitch should come in and spoil it!

I'm running NGK Iridium plugs for a dedicated LPG AU2 Falcon. These have a smaller gap and run colder which is suitable for LPG. They're about 5000km old, so they should still be like new.

Vialle convertor should set you back around $380 new (except if you go to ford). Shop around for the best price.

Mate, if you can get them for $380 then order me 10 and i'll give you $400 each for them.
I'll sell them for double that price for a quick sale lol.
