neutral as in the position on the gearbox

i went and got a second hand ecu and i started reteaching it, i have now got electric mirrors working, fuel flap opens, the fan works (the inside one not thermos) and also the wipers and jets. blinkers still not flashing and nothing from the engine, should i have more patience resetting it all? i spent about 45 minutes with the ignition in the on position todayshould i replace the bem aswell?

i reckon you should, the start circuit is part of it.
