Hi, I recently pulled my entire dash out and engine bay loom. And since putting it all back in my climate control only blows to the windscreen. The only error code I get is the one for the ambient sensor which isn't plugged in. I've check the vaccuum hoses that I can think of, the ones going to the manifold and the pretty coloured ones behind the glove box. I've had the front guards off, is there anything behind the passenger guard? There is like a round ball like thing on the driver side but the hose is connected to that?
Also say if i accelerate and then back off i get a weird click sound coming from the glovebox area, i can't figure it out but I think it may have something to do with my lack of heating options. The click is also there straight after start up, its only a single clicking sound then goes away. Just wondering if anyone has had a problem like this before. Thanks Ben |

Thanks Ben Check your vacume hoses coming from the back of your intake manifold, there should be a green hose coming from the tree section towards the very rear. its likley you pulled it out by accident while f**k with your engine loom. The windscreen setting is what its at as defult. There is a vacume resivour (the black ball) behind the drivers guard. Also your climate control unit won't pick up vacume leaks as errors. Sorry mate but its a bit hard to tell you whats wrong as the climate control system is quite complex. Have a really good look, pull some lower panels out and take pics, i then might be able to give you more help

Definately sounds like a vacuum problem.
Check the vacuum lines under the bonnet as well. There is a one-way check valve in the vacuum line behind the washer bottle. This is there to help prevent vacuum disappearing back into the manifold during heavy aceleration. Check hose connections leading to the vacuum reservoir in drivers front guard. The Hose runs through the back of the dash and behind the cluster.

Cool, thanks guys I'll double check those places, I might check the hose that runs through the dash, don't suppose it's accessible if I remove the cluster and other little things, don't really feel like pulling the dash out as It never goes back in the same way does this hose come out when the dash is removed cause I can't remember dealing with it. This sounds like its gonna be fun, I hate working inside the car, never enough room to stretch .
Thanks Ben |

Thanks Ben If you pull the cluster out you will find the hose that goes to the vacuum reservoir.

I had a clickin sound in my fairmont.....it was the heater\ac fan in there...apparently they come loose on alot of cars...altho my noise was just a bit of paper stuck in there, its also a possibility.
