hey i was wondering whats some under bonnet mods i can do to remove from restrictions before i over haul my engine..
i've heard from couple people to remove the water pipe going to the throttle body so drop the temp in the intake im running a dual exhaust setup that helped alittle bit just wondering the little mods i can do to help make the engine breath and perform to its best. |

Well mate, a good start is to check all is in peak condition, like leads, plugs, filter etc, but you would have already done that.
A set of extractors always helps, I have had reasonable success with paceys, a decent inlet manifold, such as explorer to start, heads when finances allow, diff gears always make a big difference....plenty of things can be done. I all depends on how much you want to spend, and how much you can do yourself.. |

MAF, T/B and injectors if not done already and up rail pressure.
Have a look at what some of the improvements that fellas on here have done with these mods. The results speak for themselves. and oh yeh Welcome |

I know this is my standard response but here it is anyway.
Remove strategically placed metal from intake & heads. Translation: port them. Read here for more http://www.diyporting.com/

Removing the coolant pipes from your EGR spacer will actually hurt performance. The coolant pipes are there to cool down the intake because the exhaust gases entering there are much hotter than coolant.
A 65mm t-body is a good start too but check out the suggestions in this thread too; http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=34702 Cheers, Pete. |
