hello just thought id post my dash mods Ive done,Ive painted the console and trims and changed the cluster dials from amber to blue let me no what you think thanks

you gotta change the blue pattern XR trim on the door.. looks kinda outta place..

other than that.. looks good mate.

Agree.

Something about EF door trims with their curves in a EA-ED with thier straights doesnt really appeal to me.

well actually i just meant the blue part that goes around the door handle.. u know, the blueish patterned fabric bit?
but i do agree with you anyway about the the whole trim.

I like the EL shape but it's their interior that I like most. I like the box car shapes more but hate the interior. I would like to get an EB GT and put an EL GT interior in it.
In the end the things we like to do aren't meant to be easy.

I wouldnt say its easy, but at the same time, not too hard. You will need to get:

EL dash (complete)
All front looms
ecu and bem
key barrel etc
complete bbm conversion


few other bits and pieces that I cant think of atm.

It can be done in a couple of stages, such as fitting the bbm gear, and then later adding the dash.

best thing to do would be to find a wrecker that will let you pull the parts yourself, that way you will have some idea of where they all go.

There should be an almost complete (minus one trip computer) dash in a sparkling red EL at Cairns wreckers.
