Im in the process of a full interior and audio upgrade, i've stripped out all my interior, seats, carpet, trims etc. However i am having trouble removing the dash vinyl which i am going to spray white with VHT colour dye.

I've attempted to remove the whole dash but it is really hard, so im just trying to peel the vinyl off instead but the headlight switch is in the way and i cant get it off.

Does anyone know how to remove the vinyl without tearing it or even how the headlight switches comeout??? I could really use some tips right now. thanx

i wouldn't remove the vinyl personally.
but ok.

to remove the headlight switch, you need to pull the switch part of it off (might need to be levered off with a flat screw driver.
then the interior light switch part will come off. to remove the rest you need to undo the metal ring with a screwdriver and hammer, or pliers (how ever u can turn it)
then the plastic cover will come off and the switch itself will go into the dash.

the dash is quite easy to get off really, take the dash out. you need to

1.remove facia and cluster etc fairly straight forward. remove steering wheel

2. take the panel off that covers the fron tweeters hard to get to with a screw driver a pair of pliers and a phillips head bit does the job. once that it off you will see the 5 or 6 8mm bolts undo them all.

3. take the centre consol out the are a coupe of scres in the side and a couple inside it as well.

4. take both kick panels out.

5. now there will be 4 10mm bolts that run across the bottom one under each kick panel and 2 under where the centre consold went they are hard to see.

6. take the 2 bolts out holding the steering column to the dash

7. remove dash. thats it from memory just a lot of hidden bolts 8-)
