Hi there, i'm after some opinions on the exterior scheme of my latest project, so far I have decided that it will have an XE front and an XF tail, pumped guards for the big rubber that is already on it (305/50/15 & 265/50/15)
now here's the original plan, It was/is to be painted in the d**k Johnson greens tuff race car scheme, but with slightly smaller flares.
But I am open minded to go the unique look if something apeals to me enough.
Regardless of the theme it will have a blower thru the bonnet, as the powertrain has already been selected
Has anyone got any pics of the d**k car? f**k that was a tuff car.
cheers kenny

Midnight blue with a metal flake.

Saw my dads old XT like that and it looked amazing.

Ahh, what a great way to start a project, I have almost stripped the complete shell to bare metal, and the only rust I could find is a bit of surface rust where the paint has been chipped on the rear 1/4, that includes behind the rear window & around the tail lights!!
All I can say is "what a top buy" for $100 ,one owner ,running with a fortnight rego.
so it looks like i'm gonna can the EB big block project & stick to my promise to look after the ol' girl for the old fella that sold it to me.
I will post some pics as I progress
cheers kenny

Ah damn i wanted to see the big block EB go ahead, oh well, is this the one that gets the same motor or the nascar one?

Regardless its going to be a quick car.

I am down to 2 options now with the donk, the nascar block can be streched to 422 cubes, or I can use a 351 windsor block & have 460".
The clevo is the cheaper option & I already have a set of heads that are good for 600hp+ N/A or the sky is the limit with a blower.
if I choose the windsor, I will have to buy everything from scratch.

I found this pic recently, and check out those feet! I also scored blower that has not been used since the full rebuild.
And cheers Fraser, I will be getting those panels once the rest of the shell is a bit closer to painting.
