Next year the V8s will finally get a points score system that almost makes sense, finally getting rid of the everyone wins a prize system we've been stuck with.

The points will now work as follows

Single Race 72 60 51 45 39 36 33 30 27 24 18 15 12 9 6

Two Race (per race) 36 30 25 22 20 18 16 15 13 12 9 8 6 5 3

Three Race (per race) 24 20 17 15 13 12 11 10 9 8 6 5 4 3 2

More great news the shoot outs will be kept only for the enduros. The new system for regular rounds is similar to F1 a 45 minute session with all cars participating in the first 15 minutes, then the fastest 20 cars for the next 15 minutes and the top ten for the final 15 minutes to decide poll.

I'm very happy with both changes especially the points as it will encourage racing rather then cruising & collecting. They've announced a few more minor changes too if you click the link.
