EL GTs 4 Speed BTR version had a different trans setup to the rest of the lineup - it came with this "Adapt-Shift"

Are these obtainable via ford etc and do u know if they can only be obtained with an EL GT VIN No.?

The adapt shift - whats the deal?

Are the BTR internals any diff to the EL XR8's ?

Cheers
Kev

All adaptive shift did was figured out how your drove and adjusted shift point accordingly

Just different programming in the TCU. It ended up being standard on the AU autos. So if you've driven an AU auto, it'd feel like that.

the boxes are different, there are some shafts that are cross drilled in the GT box to allow for better cooling, as well as the TCU
