far out - thats a pretty friggen awesome mod! jeez... i wouldn't know how to instal a bloody shift kit, let alone something like that!
so you were saying these could be sold by yourself as a type of kit so-to-speak - would these be plug & play type kits, or require a fair bit of technical know-how?

Or even a DPDT switch that alternates between using the cruise +/- buttons for cruse and using them for shift up/down?

Now seriously : Does anyone remember who made the full manual conversion for the EAs? - it was for cars with the seperate trans ECU and was a straight trans ECU mod. It was also very expensive.
Now use one of those with that darn nice BA shifter.. Damn |

so you were saying these could be sold by yourself as a type of kit so-to-speak - would these be plug & play type kits, or require a fair bit of technical know-how? They would be reasonably plug and play, a couple of wires need to be tapped into on the trans ecu or the ecu (if integrated), the BA shifter will require a small trans tunnel cut to fit in, and a small mod the the centre console to allow the BA shifter to fit in, the cable routing and work depends whet type of exhaust manifold you have, standard is easy (small cut and rout via steering column base plate) and use of the I6 shifter cable, most other headers will require a little more effort and a hole drilled (13mm looks like) and use of the V8 shifter cable. Thanks for the comments, and they will be avaliable as kits, with full instructions.

What is this shifter cable and how does it differ from standard e series?

simalar to the waya mountain bike gears are selected by cable.

good idea, but nowhere near idiot proof (it would scare the f**k outa ya if you tried to put the car into cruise while SSS was still on, maybe use the "on" cruise button to toggle between cruise,SSS, and off
