I have had no pulling in at all with my TS50 bar and as for blending fiberglass with plastic, it has been done for years. You need to reinforce your joints to minimise the flex. It is the same as blending fiberglass to metal, preperation and take your time.

like i said if u can find genuin bars then its way better than fibreglassing less stuffing around, and on ebay u can pick one up cheap, thres a BA XR 6, front bar for $51 atm. cant go wrong.
that would be my best bet, and you still pay a good $450 + for a fibreglass bar, and alot more stuffing around and money involved.

Thats fine if you want XR bar, you will pick them up for $200 plus in fair nick. But try and pick up an original TS50 or BA/BF GT or Typhoon Bar. When they do come available you are looking at $1000 - $1500 plus in fair condition, and who is going to hack up $1000 + worth of bar. My TS50 bar cost me $400 and at the time the cheapest XR bars on EBay were going for around $300, not alot of difference. You can bend Fiberglass once it is formed, you use gentle heat and it will bend, don't overheat and don't use direct heat. The solid part of the Fiberglass panel is the resin and it can be bent when done properly.

think go for it, I reckon it should come out pretty well. It's not as though that bottom half is very curved or anything, seems to be a lot of straight lines that should match your car. In the pictures it doesn't look wrong, but doesn't look right, but that can just be how the pictures arre done!

yeah true, but for soemone who has never done such a thing before with such a hard product to use, it will end in tears, im more than happy to help, but really plastic over fibreglass is easier to wrok with, specially for a first time, it sounds easy oh bending fibreglass but theres alot more to it, than jsut heating up and bending,
The new BF XR6 bar are really nice much better looking than the typhoon bars. in my opionion though. but whatver he may choose is entierly up to him

Rusty, I agree with you there that plastic to plastic is much easier and it is a hell of a lot easier to bend and for the inexperienced bending fiberglass will as you say "end in tears". I think that the BA would suit the EB/Ed shape more than the BF, butv if youy want to bo BF use the XR bar, the Typhoon in my opinion does'nt suit, but hey if you like it that is all that matters.
