the w/end was not without controversy though as alonso was penalised in q3 and went from 5th to 10th on grid. footage of the incident where he supposedly blocked massa shows that the closest massa got to him was 100m. when you see the footage you can't believe he was pinged as he was a speck in the distance but massa claimed that if he wasn't there he would've got pole and the stewards, after reviewing footage and data, agreed with him.

i'm sure these sort of incidents will sour ms's record and some will not have him up there with the greats (fangio, senna etc) but you can't argue with the numbers. stella career!

sad toi see him go but if he manages to win the title this year it will be great to go out on a high!

I think he was hanging to retire a long time ago but was waiting till he had the slightest wiff winning of one last championship.
