how yas all going?
just wandering i got the r sped 3 rpd cam all intake mods extractors and exhaust getting a dim sqirt and 6 tb intake soon just wandering how much difference a stally is gonna make? ive only ever driven 1 car with a stally and it was a big block holden so i dont know how much difference its gonna make. substantiol or not? cheers |

a high stall will help you launch harder of the line..ud only need a small stall like 2000 or 2500rpm and that would still be very friendly for street use.
if that big block u drove was a wild engine it probly wouldve had a big stall in it like above 4000rpm id say but u wouldnt want that for your car...so in short driving the big block will be nothing like driving your car with a stall in it.. |

Yeh it wont provide any huge gains once youve launched...the whole point of having one is either to help reduce stalling in autos hangin of very worked setup or cam configuration that lumps and cause the idle to fall and stall...
But off the line can be a huge difference...most E-series are fitted with the 1000rpm stall i think it is...so of the light you can safely bring the revs up to 1000rpm before the tyres begin to turn and ya ride wants to go forward....the higher stall torque convertor will allow u to bring it up to 2000,3000+ etc etc so when you take off youre launching with higher revs andd thus more torque...which means ya gonna be launching with more power....but also gonna be more likely to break traction when ya do launch
