got this last year from local car yard. Was a 1999 AU Fairlane Ghia. Has got 5 lt and all Ghia trim. What do ya think.

are you sure that was a fairlane? looks more like a chopped wagon to me :?

Fairlanes have basically the same roofline back to the 2nd quarter window man.. It could well have been.

Coming from a big AU fan, personally i think its f**k ugly

me to, but judging by the low series side moulds and lack of fairlane front and other fairlane stuff, me bets it was a wagon 8-)

tis' a wagon cos' the rear door is off the wagon not the sedan.

but fairlane doors are the same as wagon doors on AU-BF

are you sure about that?

I'll try show you. The wagon roofline is a little more curved going from side to side but the doors are definately the same.

but can you put an XR front on a fairlane, without a fair bit of modifacation?

glenn is right, wagons have the same rear doors as fairlanes

yes you can fit a XR front to a fairlane but why would you :?

i agree with that

thats what makes me think its a fairmont wagon instead of a fairlane, because no one in their right mind is going to put the XR front on a fairlane unless the front was damaged in a crash and it was feasible .

might as well trade the fairlane in on a fairmont wagon because you would be better off.

The roofline and modifications on that image tag are outstanding! I'd have lowered the text a little further and maybe put clear indicators on the forward slash, but otherwise, it looks schmick!

..what the hell happened?
