hi, now has come the time to fit the Pro M maf & 24's...
i dummy fitted the maf today & the only way i figure it'll fit is with a custom airbox or shielding. Id have to remove the stock airbox. this is because the maf has a huge 6'' K & N pod fitted to it. took the pod off and the maf certainly didnt fit to the airbox where the s**t maf is now. can i apply like the BA XR8's do with the shielded pod? wat sort of material could i use or is there a company that could fit this up for me? the maf is a 77mm unit. any ideas peoplesor opinions? thanks |

I cut my EF one to fit an 80mm vortech no worries (for rego purposes),
should be able to enlarge the hole enough to fit the end of a pro-M in.

did u have the pod in the airbox or just screw the maf to the airbox like stock, using a panel filter?

got the injectors and pro m off coral for around $350 shipped.
so u reakon just make the original hole in the airbox larger to accomodate the larger MAF? might have a go, it'll save dramas of buying or making a new box... did u have anything inbetween the maf and airbox, like a rubber gasket of some sort AXR88U? |

Make your own box to seal the Pro-M filter from engine heat. That MAF works best when used with it's original filter.

I had a mate who's a boilermaker make up a flange identical to the factory one and got it welded to my maf, worked well.

My maf is a flangless one to suit a pod. Just made to hole very neat & had a tight fit. When the hole size is close, try the maf up against it and take little bits at a time out of the lid. I was'nt that fuss about sealing it up with anything as it is a really good fit. I used one of those little die grinders to do it.
