Hey everyone...i need your help....

i have an EA fairmont Ghia 5 speed and everytime ti touch the accelarater something starts rattling from my rocket cover....it does need a service pretty badly (which im gunna do next week) i need help please cause it started today then i parked the car and started it several hours later and at first it didnt make the noise but then on my way home...its started again..

Also....my cruise control is not working like it used too....3 days ago i drove it to work and it was fine...i drove it home and it didnt want to work....i kept pressing it to accelarate but nothing happened...i kept turning it on and off then pressing the accel button...eventually after about 10km of pressing those buttons it turns on

Can anyone please help me with these issues

dont mean to be picky. but its 'rocker' cover.


is the rattle there at all at idle with the bonnet up?

if not, perhaps try get someone to listen to it. if its right at the front it could be a broken chain tensioner, letting the chain slap around.

that's the only reason i bothered with this thread....

first off check ure oil if its low, will caus lack of oil to the rocker gear and it will rattle pretty bad.

other than that good chance you have broken a lifter or one of the cahin guides
