In the next few days ill be fixing and starting my car for the 1st time in about 7 months.

So far i have to put the radiator back in, replace tranny fluid (95le?), reattach airbox (now with added XH snorkel and k&n panel :D) and charge my battery.

What other steps (oil etc) should i take to make sure she runs reliably and (hopefully) powerfully?

its a 1990 NA fairlane with a 4spd, engine reconditioned 2 months before i bought it.

Oil + Filter, fuel filter, drain and replace fuel in the tank (fuel loses around 1 octane per month stored) and probably bleed the brakes and replace the fluid. You did fill the radiator right? :D

All should be good.

Im getting new tyres soon, + chucking the old mans on to go over pits.

Drained the fuel when i parked it up, only have a small amount in the tank at the moment.

Forgot to get f**k oil today!!!

Havent filled the radiator yet, as its not in the car..

Will probably be doing it on sunday now as im busy for a while.. was gonna do it all today but spent from like 1pm till now at every local wrecker looking for 1 tiny little part (which ended up costing $38!!)

This is all adding up to be an expensive enterprise lol
