Gidday

Just wondering what peoples choices are for manifolds on 351c?

I want a squarebore manifold so i can run an impco 425 with a holley butterfly set up

( Will also be running a 750 holley for the time being as well )

I have a budget of about $400

Cheers

I would go with an edelbrock performer with your car Mark. $4oo won't get you much brand new

Weiand x-cellerator.power range 2000-6500 rpm.it will work well with your hi-stall.

A mate of mine has just changed his mild clevo's manifold from a performer -> xcellerator 2V. Picked up around .5 sec over the 1/4. His camshaft had around the 500 thou even mark lift wise.

The performer is no better than a stock squarebore 4brl manifold.

Gas also likes single plane manifolds as the gas disperses evenly. Weiands can be picked up for around $250-$300 s/h. Make sure you get it tuned afterwards. Otherwise you'll run too rich.

nb..I ran 11.8's with a xcellerator on a 351. They're a very good all rounder.

That's what I was going to say.

Even if you are not building a 'revver' still go for the single plane.

there's an xcelerator on ebay which as the previous posts have said would be perfect for 351C on gas

you can use the vac fitting from your current manifold or you can buy them from autobarn or the likes.

The vaccum fitting on the current manifold is too big to fit on the wieand

Might have to take a trip down to VPW to suss it out
