hi guys this is just another eventfull day with my car. i dnt have the blower or anything on the car at the moment. the motor went back to preety much stock for RWC.however i woke this morning fired my car up ( ef xr8) got 5 ks down the road and it started making a hell of a noise. sortove like something id getting whacked around in the rocker cover or sumthing. so ive decided to make a swap with the donk just for peace of mind. so my question too u all. is there n e one in SA who has either a ef xr8 5ltr or a el/ au xr8 5ltr up for grabbs. if any one can point me in the right direction that would also be awsome. any good ford wreckers in adelaide. cheers guys... jagga

hey cheers. i will give them a call.
if i dnt get somthing back in there soon i will prob just have to drive my little 323 rotary around, and save some pennys for a crate motor. then i will whack my blower on that....

Athol Park are excellent, i purchased my Rebel rims off them through ebay, i wouldn't hesitate to deal with them again.

Ouch, sorry to hear it man.

Have you popped the valve covers off yet? You may get lucky and find its just a broken rocker or bent pushrod or something...

Thought of building an early 302 block ? With retro roller cam conversion ??
You have an engine number that NO one else can use, seeing block is stuffed...The early blocks are much stronger....

hey guys thanks for the reccomendation im goind down saty morning to have a look at a au3 motor that they have in stock. low ks. i think ill snap it up. is 3.200 inc accesories preety good???
its the 220 kw motor i will be interested to c what it will take to go in

I wouldn't bother with the front end accessories, the coil packs, the cam position sensor, or the headers...you cant use any of those in the E-Series.

Make sure you get the long motor, inlet manifold, throttle body, injectors, and MAF...you cant use the injectors or MAF straight away unless you have a chip/edit for your current computer.
