Most cluster bulbs are either 1.2watt or 2watt. Stick to either of these two for LCD illumination. You'll find they're better than LED's in terms of day/night brightness. I've used 15k MCD white LED's and returned to std globes because of brightness. Mind you the LED's are perfect for cluster lighting.
A good option is to get a handful of std globes from a self serve wrecker to keep as spares.
