Hey guys,

Well the problem is just after I've started the car up (cold) and head off on my merry way, I'll accelerate, and the engine will react, but the revs won't go up. Pushing down further fixes this, but it plays catch up and next thing I'm flying.

The problem lasts about 10/15 seconds and then doesn't cause trouble until I start it cold next time. So whats the go? Shouldn't be leads, as they aren't that old, battery terminals? What should I check?

Cheers.

My EA had a similar prob when cold...was a bit slow to react or even would miss sometimes, turned out to be clogged injectors. Injector cleaner helped but she's only sweet now after getting the injectors cleaned properly.

I got the same prob - haven't figured out what it is, but its only evident on petrol and not gas. Sounds like a fuel supply or metering problem.

Hmmm, well I do get the cheapest petrol possible, and probably the worst quality, lol (Coles Shell, Woolworths Caltex, etc.)

I might pick up some injector cleaning crap, thanks to all.

Just remember, if it's the fuel pump then you access that from the boot :P

Lol, you're a funny guy Walker.

I was actually thinking of a new mod the other day. Cutting a bit out of the lining so that you can access that cable in the boot (to unlock the boot). Good mod no?

For you, i think it's a good mod.

My car actually has a cable that comes out at the top of the bootlid, i'm going to extend it because it's not reachable now with the LPG tank, and my boot doesn't open via key, so if the solenoid s**t itself i wont be able to get in.
