is it best to paint a kit before you fit it to the car or after?

I think they did mine before, as if its fiberglass they have to prep it etc.

best to test fit it all before you do anything, especially if its an aftermarket fibreglass one, to make sure to all fits properly. then paint, and fit.

Dead right! Even if the kit fits perfectly, a drill can slip or a hole be misplaced. If you do all that before painting, it can easily be rectified. If you paint first..........
