How much fella's?

She is a mkII with 50,000k's in good condition. Body straight, a few niggles in the interior, but otherwise is good. Full service history!

Still has 12 months left on the new car warranty.

Any thoughts on how much I should be paying for it?

I probably shouldn't at the moment but I really want to......

Dude,

If you can buy me a BA mkII Fairmont Ghia for between 15 and 20 then I will let you have first drive.

Tell me where and I'll be there tomorrow.

Carsales, autotrader etc all have them betwen 24 and 32 depending on mileage. Still not bad money for car that was 55 grand only 20 months ago. Glad I didn't buy one brand new.

I think I have found my new bus now anyway. Will let you know how I go over the next few days.

Thanks,

try the auctions. they are flooded with late model fords and holdens. most still with warranty. bargains can be had there.

i had a BA Ghia (Dec 02) and lost $10K in a year on it. it was in near perfect condition with 80000km and i got $20K for it when i sold it a couple of months ago. I'd suggest buying something like that at around $20K is a much better option than paying $30K for something maybe a bit newer but essentially the same when in a year it will be worth $20K too - losing $200 a week in depreciation is a bit crazy i reckon...
i've also heard they can go for ridiculously low prices at the auctions try that...
BA Ghia's are awesome cars though.

Geoff

what he said...the auctions get flooded with them every week. and most have done about 60K-90K kms on the clock.

Gday Phil,

Mate i work for the bayford group as a wholesaler you car with 50ks provided the body is in good condition tyres, sreen, paint and has books.

I think around the 18,500 19,000 grand mark as a trade in mate retail would be your best option if we put it one the yard mate it be 23999.

The ba phil is a high depreciating car like all fords and holdens as a genral rule of thumb they will depricate around 60 percent after 3 years.

I bought my ba xt for 10,500 with 55ks and its a 2004 model.
