Physically, yes. All the EL externals should go on too.

The technical hassle comes from convincing the relevant authorities that the engines emmissions will be the same after putting on all the EFI hardware from an EL or later. We know it will, but since the engine number is from a much older car, they may not see it that way.

..the EL's are a roller engine........older windsors dont use roller gear...ie cam & lifters.....when i bought my new engine i was told you gotta buy the roller style engine...
but then if you wana go put a big solid cam in there just get an older style one...

the older blocks can have a retro roller kit fitted to bring them upto roller spec same as ours

But as stated you are NOT allowed to install an engine with a build date older than the car it is going into for EPA reasons

So if you want to put older block in then you would have to change number and well umm that's ............... lol
