When i brake going almost any speed the brakes make this bad rubbing noise. Its almost like metal on metal but it stopps the car.

I know the front disc's have been machined once and i just looked at them again and they have a nice big lip on them.

I know my pads are now f**k and this has come at a very bad time as i cant do anything about it till next week and i have alot of hills driving this weekend.

Grrrr


But anyways my point is the noise is normal if the rotors and pads are f**k yeah?

ur pads are rooted, that grinding noise is just their way of letting you know they need replacing

Hmmm i thought when they were low they made a squealing noise thats why i asked.

Nope, squealing is from glazed pads or something like a stone stuck in there.

The sound you describe suggests you have run out of pad material (& they don't always wear evenly). Change the pads before you drive it again, seriously.

yeh, good change your pads are gone, and uve f**k your rotors.

happened to me, i heard a grinding noise, but cars i used tod rive always had a squeel pad in them when they got low.

so i assumed a rock, by the time i got to check it out, damage already done, so i just thought id see how much i could f**k them before my new rotors arrived.

after 2 weeks it was undrivable basically, could hear the noise ages away, the whole car would shake under braking and when stopping massive shudder that would rock the car.

Yeah i took the wheel off last night and the pads are totally f**k.

The disc's also have the biggest lip it aint funny.

I also talked the the guy i got it off and he said he was going to do them just before he sold the car but thn he sold it so he didnt do it. That was 10 months ago but 6 of those months i didnt drive it much as i didnt have my P's.
