Hey guys

well I just wired up my in dash pioneer dvd player into my ef. Now its not the best car for these because of the lip in the dash above player, but ill worry about the later.

Right now I NEED HELP! Those of you who have done this, how did u modify the side clip things that slide into the surround as the dvd player ones are 2 wide.... did u just cut them off half way so just the front part was on them 2 screw in?

please help anyone

Cheers

I usually jam the side brackets of the original headunit into that ring frame peice that goes around the new headunit, lots of force and swearing, bu t has worked for the last 3 HU's I've had in my car...
I got an Aerpro CD holder DIN size thing, and have mounted that above my headunnit which is in thee lower DIN space (I cut the surround to turn it into double DIN), so that the screen doesn't hit the lip.

ive only got a single din surround.... was going to just mount it abit further out so it doesnt hit the lip

just gotta get it to slide in first

Im thinking cut the side frame bits mostly off so it slides in than just screws in at the front cause its only the slidy bits that are getting stuck

As I said mine was a single DIN to, ut I cut it out to make it into a double.

Better than having it sticking out far and looking ugly and silly.
