Hey can anyone tell me how to remove the BBM or does anybody have a docco of it?

Use a 1/4 inch drive socket set and several extension bars to get to lower bolts.
Remove the air box to give you more room. Disconect all hoses, cables etc making note of how they are installed.

depends if you define difficult as
- something you can easily f**k up - time consuming with a heap of swearing. havnt done it myself, but have tightened the bolts. not diffucult, just a b**ch to reach some.

the dificulty is access.... them bolts underneath and at the back are a big pain in the a**...
Even with several extensions i couldnt reach a couple and had to resort to a ring n open ender 1/8th of a turn at a time, damn did my back hurt after that... |

its a bit easier if u split the plenum chamber off it... also snap on make a tool thats mint for the job, sorta like a 10mm ratchet spanner with a pivot point about 8cm along it and a long handle

how many nuts is there exactly? do u have to replace any gaskets or anything when u take it off and put it back on?

i think there is 12 main bolts to the head. then it wouldnt hurt to replace the gasket.
why are you taking it off?

If you take the fuel rail off first it is piss easy.

ratchet spanners if you dont have them dont even attempt it. most of the bottom ones come off easy with a ratchet spanner. top ones too.
and prepare for sore hamstrings. |
