ive just rebuilt a motor on apprentice wages and that cost 3k

Your doing a lot of work to that 250 bottom end and 9" then bolting a t5 between them? A stock XF bottom end will outlast a t5 in a turbo setup. I would recommend pushing a lot of money towards the gearbox. Maybe a C4 or toploader will be more suited to the power and style of car.

If you do want to keep the T5, forget about factory parts. Even the T5Z will be marginal in a heavy car. Look at getting G-Force internals in a T5 housing.
