hey

just after your opinions on a problem ive been having lately...

it seems that when i press the accelerator or require more power, the car starts to shudder/stutter and shake for several seconds before actually getting the power it needs. its very bad when trying to hold a certain speed (eg 100kmph), but if i floor it its not as bad.
its also pretty bad up hills even very slight slopes when it needs more power

i was thinkin it was a fuel injection problem, but the fuel pump & filter were replaced late last year.

car ==> 93 falcon ED GLi, 4.0l 6, auto

cheers

yeah sounds like the engine is getting starved of fuel. have you checked your injectors?

do you run your take low? it might have sucked up all the crap at the bottom of the tank and clogged up parts of your fuel system.

yea its probably the fuel system. im gonna check the injectors tomorrow.
are they easy to remove and but back in?? or is it worth running one of those injector cleaner solutions through the tank first?

i never run my petrol dry ,but i always run my gas dry , then fill up again. Does doing this affect the injectors?

bats LPG doesnt run thru the injectors like petrol does, so could be tuning problem maybe to lean/rich on LPG, check also plugs leads etc as they can cause problems too, LPG needs a good fat spark to combust properly. misfiring can cause backfiring and blowing you airbox apart (most times) and can cause engine damage (worst case), so check, it could save you some bucks
