Hi,
My AU Falcon Ute has just started to develop a clunk in the drivetrain when kicking back a gear at approx 20-30km/h. Theres no fault codes coming up but someone suggested it may be the throttle position sensor. I've just checked the voltages at closed throttle and open and its 0.57V at closed throttle and 4.26V at fully open throttle. Are these normal?

Its a dedicated LPG, 4 speed auto 4.0L, 175000km and hasnt had any problems in the past. I first suspected the uni joints but there doesnt seem to be any play in the tailshaft. It has a fairly easy life and doesnt get thrashed so I'm surprised its developed this clunk.

any help would be much appreciated!
thanks

tps won't be the cause, it's either the diff or transmission if there is no play in the uni's.
has it been lowered?
are the engine/gearbox mounts ok?
bushes?
just a few things to check, as it can be a few things.

I've started to get the same problem. It sounds horrible and now I have a metalicy grinding sound from my drive shaft or diff. It only started happaning since I had the car lowered. Any idea's?

cheers, Nathan

Thanks smoke_rubber, I'll get the bushes and engine/gearbox mounts checked out and go from there. It hasnt been lowered but with over average KM I guess the bushes have started to wear.
cheers
