just pull them out of the car.

the auto surround you need to just undo the handle and pop it out.

the vent surround you need to undo a bit around it to undo it then pop it out.

the vents and clock will come out of it so you can paint it all.

when you unscrew the stereo surround straight underneath up the top there is some screws and a couple more on each side you may need to take out the air con control unit to get to them. then it should clip out. as said the clock is already attached so you can just unplug it the air con vents will come of with it in one hit.

undo the nut at the base of the handle and then unscrew the handle.

there is actually screws under the cluster surround for the vent panel so that has to come out too.
