im thinking of putting a 3.5' pipe from the bumper-bar leading into the air box of my brothers ef fairmont, just to gain more air flow.
has any one done this before and is it worth doing (power wise)? ive all ready put a k & n pannel filter au tickford snorkel and going to install a mandrel bent intake pipe.

It ain't gunna do any harm.
As for a noticable gain, I doubt it. And ebfore anyone says you'll get water in the engine, there dreaming, the engine doesn't suck hard enough through tubing that size to suck water all the way up. |

I done mine 4 or 5 years ago in my EF, i went straight down through the bottom of the airbox, i bought a 75 mm stainless fitting and used a hole saw through the box and skirt.
Mine was non ABS so it was easy, but the difference was definately noticable, more so than any snorkel that i fitted, inc Tickford and Aunger. |
