NC V8 SERIES 1...When i lock my car using my keyfob, the central locking cycles, leaving the car unlocked. however, when i unplug the car alarm, and lock the drivers door with the key, all the locks work properly. im assuming its the car alarm thats the problem...? Alarm is a carlinea cl2000... any chance that someone might know the wire that leads from the alarm to the central locking, or a way to fix this?

could also be the door actuators. most fords had the problem. apparently you can unplug each on individualy to find which one is the cause. (ie: passenger door if it still does it plug it back in then try another door till you have found the problem). might not work but its worth a try

I'd go with the actuators as mentioned. Keylock the passenger door - if all doors lock properly the passenger door actuator is at fault, if not, possibly the drivers door. When unplugging the drivers door actuator, lock the car with the keyfob - if everythings fine, the drivers door actuator is at fault.

rooted actuator. 100% sure its a front door one as well. The rears don't seem to be very problem-atic

I've had 2 go in my AU1, one is the rear passenger door. I've just disconnected the exterior door handle for the time being, and the front passenger, its an easy fix, maybe 30 mins work, and most of that is taking the door panel off, if you're proficient at it, its a 15 minute job... |

ok... replaced the actuator...central locking now works... but the door doesnt lock...?! The actuator pushes the rod up and down on the latch, but the rod from the latch to the lock cylinder doesn't work? im now assuming its the latch? any more suggestions?
